Tiny Adventures
Years ago I started working on tiny pieces of paper to relieve some pressure on me as I practiced my drawing skills. I found that if I worked on tiny pieces of paper I was more willing to try and I did not notice my mistakes as much.
I would cut little squares and keep them in a pocket in my purse and when I was travelling, at an appointment, sitting in the yard or just watching a movie with my husband on the couch I would have tiny opportunities to sketch.
I started sketching the scenes in front of me. I plate of food, a flower, a book, a cup of tea. I was surprised how my skills grew from those little scenes.
Over a year ago, I decided to create a journal that could go with me anywhere. I fell head over heels in love with it. I could create six journals in no time at all. I made them so little that they could fit in a purse or your pocket. Ever since I have not left home without one.
When I was thinking of what my first class would be it seemed to me that this process and journal would be the perfect first class. I knew journal and process so well and it would not be forced.
If you haven’t signed up for Tiny Adventures you can do that here.
