My favorite journal supplies

Journals

I am particular about the paper in my journals. I like the paper to be at least 120 gsm. This allows you to use ink and paint with a bleed through.

I like the Medium A5 and the dotted paper.

I really like the pages to be numbered and have an index but this is not a deal breaker if they do not have this feature.

The price point can vary quite a bit.

  1. Leuchtturm 1917 120 gsm hard cover $25.95 - numbered pages

  2. RETTACY 120 gsm hard cover with pen loop $11.95 -Pages are not numbered

  3. Stationary Island 120 gsm hard cover $9.99 for the yellow one -Pages are not numbered

I also keep a spiral journal for when I am doing write and burns, manifesting, or just getting some frustrations out on paper. This is hands-down my favorite spiral journal. I am on my second one. I love it. The cover is faux leather and I love the feel of it.

For my Morning Pages I use the Decomposition book only because it has a Dot Grid and I am obsessed with dot grid. A regular composition notebook works great and costs less.

Pens and Markers

I recommend finding a pen that you love. I will share the one because it dries faster and I like the way my handwriting looks using it.

Tombow Fudenosuke Fude Brush pen.

The markers I like dry quickly and are inexpensive for many markers.

Zebra Midliner Markers

I use watercolors in my journals too but anything you have is great. If you want recommendations I can do a post about my favorite watercolors.

Monoline Pens

I recently received these pens and they are a game changer. I like how smooth and consistent

the ink is. I also like the pack with varying sizes. I use these a lot when I am sketching in my journal. I can really add great details. I have one complaint about pens that is the ink flow is inconsistent and these do not have that issue. You do have to purchase these directly from the Pigeon Letters website.
