Embracing Fall -- Fall To Do List

As the summer heat begins to wane and the leaves start to turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow, it's time to welcome the magic of fall. This season offers a perfect blend of cozy comforts and outdoor adventures. Whether you're a fan of pumpkin-spiced everything or simply revel in the beauty of nature's transformation, creating a fall to-do list can help you make the most of this wonderful time of year.

  1. Nature Walks Amidst the Fall Foliage: Step outside and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of fall foliage. Plan hikes in nearby parks, forests, or nature reserves where you can witness the leaves turning into a vibrant tapestry of colors. Grab your camera and capture the stunning landscapes as keepsakes.

  2. Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard Adventures: Visit local pumpkin patches and apple orchards with friends and family. Enjoy the process of picking your own pumpkins, apples, and other seasonal produce. Indulge in freshly baked apple pies, cider, and other autumn treats.

  3. Home Decor and Cozy Ambiance: Give your home a warm and inviting fall makeover. Swap out lightweight summer decor for cozy blankets, throw pillows in autumnal hues, and decorative gourds. Add scented candles with fragrances like cinnamon, vanilla, and spiced cider to set the perfect ambiance.

  4. Baking Delightful Fall Treats: Get your apron on and channel your inner baker. Experiment with recipes that showcase fall flavors such as pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple. Whip up classic pumpkin pies, apple crisps, or try your hand at pumpkin spice latte cupcakes.

  5. Seasonal Art Journal Spreads : Engage in creative Journaling that celebrate the fall spirit. From painting leaves or just creating a fall palette, there's no shortage of ideas to infuse your space with autumn charm.

  6. Cozy Reading and Movie Sessions: Create a cozy reading nook with plush pillows and soft blankets. Dive into classic novels, mysteries, or fall-themed books. Alternatively, have movie nights featuring your favorite autumn films while sipping on hot cocoa.

  7. Fall Gardening and Planting: Extend your green thumb activities into the fall by planting bulbs for spring blooms or tending to cool-season vegetables like carrots, lettuce, and kale. Enhance your garden with decorative scarecrows and festive ornaments.

  8. Seasonal Photography Expeditions: Fall offers a stunning backdrop for your creativity. Photograph landscapes, close-ups of leaves, and candid shots of friends enjoying the season.

  9. Celebrating Halloween and Harvest Festivals: Participate in local Halloween events or harvest festivals. Plan and decorate for Halloween parties, carve pumpkins into spooky or artistic designs, and revel in the enchanting atmosphere of the season. We do not have a lot of these here in Alaska but fall festivals are my favorite. When I was little we lived in Pahrump , NV and they had a Harvest Festival that has filled my memories.

  10. Grab your journal and write: As the year approaches its end, take some time to reflect on the year that's passed and express gratitude for the moments and people that have enriched your life.

Embrace the crisp air, the earthy scents, and the vibrant colors of fall by creating a to-do list that captures the essence of this enchanting season. From outdoor adventures to indoor cozying up, there's something for everyone to enjoy. So grab your scarf, a warm cup of cider, and embark on your journey to make this fall memorable and full of cherished moments.

Creativity has always been a large part of my life. I believe that everyone is a creative, some people just have not discovered their passion yet. My goal is to share the message, “Go Forth and Create!”

Mixed media is my love. I thrive on the freedom of working in any medium I want and combining watercolor, ink, acrylics, fabrics-everything is fair game.

Living in Alaska, I am surrounded by beauty. I find the scenery and the people equally inspiring. the world is endlessly providing inspiration and my mission is to take full advantage. My favorites include color, nature, family, books, people and so much more.
