November Challenge Tutorial

I’ve absolutely loved diving into this month’s challenge! If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, I’ve uploaded a video tutorial for creating Fall Vignettes that you might enjoy. It’s all about immersing yourself in the season's colors, textures, and playful elements.

This project was a joy because fall offers such a rich palette—deep oranges, warm yellows, moody browns, and a hint of late-season greens. I found myself savoring the process of painting leaves, layering colors, and adding whimsical doodles. There’s something therapeutic about capturing the essence of autumn on paper.

And the journal prompts for this month? Pure fun! Sometimes, it’s refreshing to have lighthearted writing—just letting go and playing with words, no pressure. This month's prompts were all about enjoying the moment and capturing little snippets of joy, laughter, and seasonal delight.

If you’re following along, I hope you’re finding as much joy in these creative exercises as I am. And if you’re just joining in, know that this is a great month to dive in, try something new, and let the beauty of fall inspire you. Happy creating!

Creativity has always been a large part of my life. I believe that everyone is a creative, some people just have not discovered their passion yet. My goal is to share the message, “Go Forth and Create!”

Mixed media is my love. I thrive on the freedom of working in any medium I want and combining watercolor, ink, acrylics, fabrics-everything is fair game.

Living in Alaska, I am surrounded by beauty. I find the scenery and the people equally inspiring. the world is endlessly providing inspiration and my mission is to take full advantage. My favorites include color, nature, family, books, people and so much more.
